We bring to your attention a catalog where you can choose your size, level and individual design board for hydrofoil, foilboard. Foilboard sizes are shown in the goods. Wide boards are suitable for beginners, narrower boards for higher speed and high jumps with the kite transfer.
Foilboard is a board designed for hydrofoil, equipped with straps for legs (“strapped”) or without them (“strapless”).
When skiing, with an increase in speed, the lifting force of the hydrofoil arises. When the speed increases, the foilboard is completely out of the water. By eliminating the friction of the board against water and resistance, impacts are reduced and a higher speed develops. In fact, the foilboard is flying over the water.
There are several categories of foilboards: freestyle, freeride and kiteracing. In our assortment, you can choose a board for any task and characteristics. Depending on the conditions, the level of riding and the discipline that you want to master, we will offer you the best option for a board for hydrofoil. For race victories, a dedicated Falcon board will do. If you want to freeride and reach above average speed – the Hawk foilboard. And for training, I recommend the Fox foilboard.
Choosing a board for hydrofoil
When choosing a board for a hydrofoil, you should pay attention to the size and volume. The shorter and narrower the board, the more experienced the rider should be. Foilboard volume plays an important role for beginners, the floating foilboard makes it easier to start.
The shape of a foilboard
The shape of the board determines how easy it is to ride. For beginners, it is important to ride in displacement mode – these are wide foilboards with a flat bottom. The short shape makes the board more responsive and nimble, suitable for freestyle, strepless and freeriding. Long shape helps keep the board stable at speed, preventing the nose from getting buried when hitting water. The narrow bevelled shape allows for maximum tilt angle and forgives water strikes when heeling.
Rocker of foilboard
Rocker – the bending of the foilboard (side view), an important characteristic of the foilboard. It is especially important to have a rocker on the board for beginners, when the board often splashes down, does not dive under water. The more rocker, the more comfortable it is to ride the chop.
Concave of foilboard
Foilboard concave – transverse bending of the board. It is designed to provide directional stability in displacement mode. Our foilboard range includes the Hawk model.
The volume of the board for hydrofoil
Board volume is primarily about buoyancy. Beginners need to choose a larger board. It is easier to ride on it in displacement mode and start from the water. In the future, the volume of the board will help you learn the Tack and Jibe reversals. A bulky board for a hydrofoil floats easier in the wind. This means that after a fall, you do not need to cut out with a body drag, because it drifts in the wind next to you. And also, this is a personal life raft, if suddenly there was trouble on the water. On a floating kiteboard, a kite that has fallen into the water can be folded and transported to the shore. This is especially true for foilkite.
In production, we use only modern technologies and high-quality European materials.
